Mark Pankin Dow Dividend Strategy Page

The Dow Dividend Strategy is a method for investing in the 30 stocks that comprise the Dow Jones Industrial Average. There are at least three books that discuss variations of the strategy, and there have been many articles in newspapers and magazines (most notably Barron's, which calls the methods "Dogs of the Dow") about it. Some brokerage firms offer "unit investment trusts" that enable individual investors to implement the strategy. In spite of, or perhaps because of, the widespread publicity, the strategy has continued to work and produce above market returns with a minimum of effort on the part of the individual investor. This site discusses the strategy and its variations, presents some of my research, and provides information about individual investors can implement the strategy.
